| Hello,
I have found a modded quake2.dll released for the Windows version of Heretic2 that would allow you to use 1920x1080 as your game resolution. I have successfully got the Linux build running on GL with sound!
I have tried searching for resolutions in the ref_glx.so file using a Hex-Editor but have found no luck. However I believe the resolutions can be set somewhere from within a .so file inside the Heretic2 directory.
Is it possible to use a custom resolution in Heretic2 using Linux. For example 1920x1080?
Would anyone want to explore this more with me and try to make it work?
Thanks again!

| That is a good point RaVeN, but as far as I can tell there is no quake2.so in the Heretic2 directory. Once the 1.06c patch has been applied, all .so files listed in the Heretic2 directory are:
client_effects.so gamei386.so player.so ref_glx.so
When you are ready let me know and we together can figure this out!
